James and Rosie Pelham, Putaruru

The collars helped us move to full artificial breeding and use short gestation semen. The mating savings alone will easily pay for the system. There is still a lot to learn but it has detected health issues before they become visible and it’s been a great back up for fresh cows.

Nigel Hicks, Waikite Valley

Transition feeding is a big driver for us. With the collars we can see the group rumination for our springer herd and correlate it to what we are feeding in maize each day. Before the collars we were basically guessing and half a kilo of maize each way can have a big impact on rumination.
