This statement is issued by the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) of the Antelliq Group, of which Allflex UK Group Limited is a group company, pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (MSA) which came into force in October 2015. The ELT have also taken into account the work of supranational bodies, such as the United Nations and International Labour Organisation (ILO) when approving this statement.

Section 5 MSA requires any commercial organisations which (i) supplies goods or services, (ii) carries on a business or part of a business in the UK, and (iii) whose annual turnover is £36m or above, to produce a statement for each financial year. This statement describes the steps that Antelliq has taken during the financial year to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any of its supply chains, and in any part of its own business.

The Antelliq Group Organisational structure

We are a manufacturer of animal identification and monitoring products in the agricultural and pet care sectors. The ultimate parent company is Antelliq Corporation, whose head office is in Dallas, USA. The Group has approximately 2,000 employees worldwide and operates globally.

Our business

Our business is organised into identification and monitoring business units across 5 regions (UK, EMEA, Asia Pacific, North America and South America).

Overarching Commitment

Antelliq is committed to ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking taking place either in its business or its supply chains. We recognise the significance and importance of the MSA’s aims and objectives. The ELT have therefore approved the following initiatives during the financial year.

Policies – Antelliq has a Modern Slavery Act policy which is made available to all staff. The Policy sets out the ELT’s commitment to the MSA and provides helpful definitions to staff on key concepts. The Policy also makes it clear that all new relationships with suppliers that pose a higher risk, must be pre-approved by the Internal Audit Director. Our Anti-slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.

Risk Assessments – all material supplier relationships have been risk assessed and no high-risk relationships were identified.

Procedures – all significant or “higher risk” suppliers to Antelliq were sent an MSA questionnaire and the responses to the questionnaires were reviewed by the Group. No unsatisfactory responses were received but should this happen in the future, Antelliq would work with the supplier to ensure that they implemented appropriate systems and controls or we would terminate the relationship.

Due Diligence – the Compliance Team will carry out background checks on all higher risk suppliers.

Training – all relevant staff have been made aware of the MSA and its implications for Antelliq. In particular all relevant staff were reminded that any new supplier relationships must be pre-approved by the Internal Audit Director before the contract should be entered into and that Antelliq will not do business with any higher risk supplier that does not have adequate systems and controls in place to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking.

Contracts – where appropriate, clauses added to higher risk contracts on the MSA.

Monitoring – the Internal Audit Director will monitor the business for compliance against the Policy and notify any breaches to the ELT.
